Our client was investing a large sum of money in a new safety training site and needed to develop the curriculum to best leverage the new facility. New employees were not properly trained in safety procedures. Employees in the role for a longer period needed a refresher on corporate policies. The positions being trained were high risk, so there was no room for error.
Lumious identified the four most common work examples and worked with the client to take photos and videos of the work being done. During this process, supervisors and team leads explained the process and any safety hazards that occur during normal operations. The videos and still photos were used to create four eLearning courses that corresponded to each task, highlighting the procedure, the safety policies and risks therein.
To help engage learners, Lumious also created several short, animated GIFs of what may happen if safety protocols are not followed.
The outcome expectations for this training program are a decrease in accidents from the construction team and a decrease in the time to proficiency on the highlighted tasks.
