Your confirmation email will provide you with the specific start and end times of your class. Standard courses begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at approximately 5:00 p.m. each day. However, some courses may vary upon demand.

Attendance Policy

Lumious reserves the right to reschedule a course.  Tuition fees are subject to change without notice.  In the event that a class is cancelled, Lumious will only be liable for tuition fees incurred due to cancelled classes.

Cancellations

All requests to change or cancel a registration or scheduled exam must be in writing via email to registration@lumious.com.  If Lumious cancels a course for any reason, liability is limited to the registration fee only.  If Customer cancels or reschedules a course within thirty (30) business days of the scheduled start date, Customer will be charged 100% of the Base Course Fee. Any such fee charged will not be applied to the price of any rescheduled courses.

Withdrawals

Students may withdraw a registration up to thirty (30) business days before the scheduled start date of the class without penalty by submitting a written notice via email to registration@lumious.com.

Failure to provide the required notification will result in 100% charge of the course. If a student does not attend a scheduled course without prior notification, it will result in full forfeiture of the funds and no reschedule will be allowed. Within the required notification period, only student substitutions will be permitted.

All exam fees are forfeited if students withdraw fewer than 24 hours before a scheduled exam.

Rescheduling

Students may reschedule a registration up to thirty (30) business days before the scheduled start date without penalty. Rescheduling will be defined as transferring registration to the same course on a different date or transferring to another course of equal or lesser value up to six (6) months from the original course start date.

If a student reschedules fewer than thirty (30) business days before the class, or reschedules for a second time, the entire original course fee will be forfeited. An additional course fee will be required for the new registration.

Substitutions

Substitutions are permitted prior to the start of the class.  All substitutions must be submitted in writing to registration@lumious.com prior to the start of class.

No Show

Failure to attend without written notice prior to the start date of the course will be considered a “no show” and will result in forfeiture of the full course price.

MEF Certification Expiration Policy

All MEF certifications are valid for a period of 3 years from the “certification date”, the date on which the exam was passed and the certification issued. Each certified student will be able to renew his or her certification at any time by taking and passing the current version of the MEF examination.

All MEF-CECP certifications (MEF-CECP and MEF-CECP 2.0) are now called MEF-CECP. Certificates issued under that name are still active but will be referred to as MEF-CECP.

Individuals that have been issued the MEF-CECP or MEF-CECP 2.0 certification since the launch of the program in July 2011 will continue to be listed in the Ethernet Academy registry regardless of the status of their certification which is now indicated as Active or Inactive. Active means that the certification was issued less than 3 years from the current date and remains valid. Inactive indicates that the certification is older than 3 years, is no longer valid, and has not been renewed.

The MEF will notify individuals whose MEF certifications are nearing expiration and will offer a $100 USD discount on the exam (first attempt) to any individuals wishing to renew their MEF certifications prior to expiration date. When renewing a MEF certification, the MEF Certified Professional will be taking the same current MEF exam taken by those attempting to achieve certification for the first time. There is no special renewal exam
