The Candidate
This is a 1099 Contract position. Looking for an experienced Instructional Designer who we can regularly contract with for upcoming and ongoing projects. The ideal candidate for the Instructional Designer role is a passionate learner and educator alike, experienced with the process of course development, from discovery, conception and to completion.
- For eLearning: proficiency in Articulate Storyline; other rapid eLearning authoring tools a plus
- For ILT/VILT: proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Adobe
- A background in Leadership & Professional Skills training is a plus.
The Responsibilities
- Conducting needs assessments across the organization and business lines to identify knowledge gaps and opportunities for knowledge transfer
- Consulting with stakeholders to recommend effective process and solutions to address learning needs and establish learning goals using structured instructional design models
- Collaborating with subject matter experts to conceptualize, storyboard, and design and implement effective learning components and materials to deliver an exceptional learning experience that creates measurable results and business impact for the target audience
- Modeling innovative learning paths, curriculums, and coursework while applying recognized instructional design principles and best practices that drive performance improvement to meet training objectives
- Design/Develop learning experiences leveraging eLearning, Instructor-led training, Virtual instructor-led training, and supporting materials (such as job aids, quick reference guides, infographics) and blended solutions
- Deliver on time and within an efforts-estimate budget
- Conduct a post-training review to assess the curriculum and training effectiveness
- Proactively seek and strive for professional growth to increase the effectiveness of skill sets
- Engage and directly support communication needs when Customer Experience issues arise (mostly internal).
