Before taking this offering, you should have earned a Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) certification or be familiar with:

- Routing and switching fundamentals
- Basic wireless networking concepts and terminology

- Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) design principles, wireless security best practices, and standard logging/monitoring protocols (Simple Network Management Protocol [SNMP], syslog, webhooks)
- Basic knowledge of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and related languages/formats (Representational State Transfer [REST], JavaScript Object Notation [JSON])
