Communicating effectively is the key to working well with others. Expressing yourself clearly and listening for the real message can prevent many problems from ever arising. Participants will learn the relevance, benefits, and need for effective listening, as well as the skills needed to be an active listener. Overcoming barriers to clear communication will also be discussed. Activities are used throughout the program to reinforce learning.

Examine how eliminating these simple barriers can improve understanding for both you and others.
